DJ Hero, due October 27, has received an upgrade. The game, a spinoff (no pun intended) of the guitar hero series that takes the music game genre to a new place, mixes. The game, as previously detailed here at Sixty4Harmony, features mixes between popular songs such as Day n Nite and Boom Boom Pow. Today, it was annouced that a special edition package will be hitting store shelves alongside the standard version. Branded DJ Hero Renegade, the special edition is named after the track of the same name performed by Jay Z and Eminem. HipHopDX, 2dopeboyz, and illroots present QuESt’s “Broken Headphones”. You may not have heard of QuESt but you better get to know him because he’s doing big things. This mixtape has features from XV, Choze, Outasight, and many more. It’s a great listen, and a great addition to your collection of music.

At Summer Jam I had some time to meet Cudi and ask him a few questions. After we discussed his upcoming Complex Magazine cover (video coming next Tuesday) I asked him if there was anything he wanted to say to his fans and of course he wanted to say thank you for the support. This is the first single off his debut album The Salvation which is in stores September 29th. The song was produced by 9th Wonder and the video was directed by Artemus Jenkins.
