After ordering this book early this year It totally fell off my radar in terms of it ever being released. With the release date of Oct. 27 still a go Kanye has shared some photos of his new 288 page book. Published by Rizzoli publishers with photography by Nabil Elderkin the new book should offer a fascinating insight into the production of his long running “Glow In The Dark” tour from 2008. The book provides a look at on stage performances, behind-the-scenes shots, conceptual sketches by West, costume designs, and stage models. It also includes an audio CD featuring previously unreleased live instrumentals for “Hey Mama”, “Touch the Sky”, “Jesus Walks”, and “I Wonder”, as well as an interview with video and film director Spike Jonze.
Judging by the rest of the photos this is going to be well worth the $30 price tag to relive one of the best tours many of us have attended. Keep reading for more.
Loved that tour.
First time he came to Belfast he didn’t bring any of the special effects stuff but still put on an amazing show (with Common, GLC and a few others) and then the second time around he brought the special effects and topped the first show by a long long way (and he had Mr Hudson and Stanigold with him)
