With the Nov. 10 release date just a few days away Activision has release its launch trailer for what will likely be the game of the year. For the trailers music they took to an old Eminem song featuring Nate Dogg call “Till I Collapse” from Em’s 2002 release The Eminem Show.
Yesterday, DJ Hero released worldwide for all the major video game systems. To go along with their previous promo, DJ Hero ran their newest ad featuring Jay-z and Eminem during primetime TV. We’ve had a chance to play the game and its starting to get fairly addicting, if you don’t have it yet go grab it while you can!

DJ Hero, due October 27, has received an upgrade. The game, a spinoff (no pun intended) of the guitar hero series that takes the music game genre to a new place, mixes. The game, as previously detailed here at Sixty4Harmony, features mixes between popular songs such as Day n Nite and Boom Boom Pow. Today, it was annouced that a special edition package will be hitting store shelves alongside the standard version. Branded DJ Hero Renegade, the special edition is named after the track of the same name performed by Jay Z and Eminem. For the first time in two years, video game rock legends are no longer topping the charts. Now outside the top twenty sales list, and with revenues down 50%, the music has changed quite a bit. Which begs the question, do you still rock out on miniaturized, plastic, toy instruments, or have you, like many, moved on to bigger and better things? Guitar Hero 5 is being released in the coming months as well as another new venture in the family named, well, I’ll give you a hint, you’re a hero, but there’s a band. Band Hero, recently previewed in video form (click here for video), hopes to advance the series, but the formula seems entirely too familiar and worn. Yes you read that right. Special editions of games and movies used to include a free movie ticket or a bag of popcorn, not these days. The team at Activision is stepping up their promo for their upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2 which is scheduled for release Novemeber 10. The Prestige Edition (aka Super Special Geek Edition) will be released this fall with thwith the basic perks plus the super sweet addition of a fully functional pair of night vision goggles. Credit is due to the team at MW2, it beats a lame Halo helmet that came in the SE of Halo 3. Pricing is yet to be announced.
This is easily the most highly anticipated game of 2009. We we’re teased with a very short gameplay trailer 2 weeks ago and tonight the full length gameplay trailer was released during the Cavs/Magic game. Modern Warfare 2 is available for pre-order and is in stores November 10.
