If you haven’t heard about the new Verizon phone that is hitting the internet you might what to check it out. It’s called the Motorola Droid and is gonna be a competitor of the iPhone. It’s full touchscreen on top and slides for a QWERTY keyboard. Below are some pictures of the phone, thanks to BGR.

Dr. Dre and Monster Cable bring to you the newest addition to their collection of Beats headphones. They collaborate with pop icon Lady Gaga to give you the Heartbeats. These headphones come in red, white, and black colors and are to be released in October. Peep the pictures after the jump.

DJ Hero, due October 27, has received an upgrade. The game, a spinoff (no pun intended) of the guitar hero series that takes the music game genre to a new place, mixes. The game, as previously detailed here at Sixty4Harmony, features mixes between popular songs such as Day n Nite and Boom Boom Pow. Today, it was annouced that a special edition package will be hitting store shelves alongside the standard version. Branded DJ Hero Renegade, the special edition is named after the track of the same name performed by Jay Z and Eminem. Read on to see what you’ll be getting should you choose to get the “Jay-Z and Eminem” version of DJ Hero.

In the box you will find the game, a limited edition DJ Hero controller with a black and gold metal finish, and a travel case that doubles as a stand for the controller.To top if off you get an, “Exclusive JAY-Z and EMINEM 2-CD pack featuring unreleased tracks and collectible case designed by artist Shepard Fairey”.

For the first time in two years, video game rock legends are no longer topping the charts. Now outside the top twenty sales list, and with revenues down 50%, the music has changed quite a bit. Which begs the question, do you still rock out on miniaturized, plastic, toy instruments, or have you, like many, moved on to bigger and better things? Guitar Hero 5 is being released in the coming months as well as another new venture in the family named, well, I’ll give you a hint, you’re a hero, but there’s a band. Band Hero, recently previewed in video form (click here for video), hopes to advance the series, but the formula seems entirely too familiar and worn. Read on to learn about what changes we will see in 2009.

Change is in the air though with the advent of Activision’s new DJ Hero. For fans of hip-hop, mashups, and DJ’ing, the title looks promsing with a 2009 release date. The game’s site is filled with flair, and a pair of my beloved Monster Dr. Dre headphones pictured on the home page. In game likenesses of Grandmaster Flash and DJ AM will be ineteresting as well as the style and name brands allotted to your character in game. In game Bape store visits will surely cost you fewer limbs then shooting over to the Busy Workshop. Will this game help save the music game genre? Yes you read that right. Special editions of games and movies used to include a free movie ticket or a bag of popcorn, not these days. The team at Activision is stepping up their promo for their upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2 which is scheduled for release Novemeber 10. The Prestige Edition (aka Super Special Geek Edition) will be released this fall with thwith the basic perks plus the super sweet addition of a fully functional pair of night vision goggles. Credit is due to the team at MW2, it beats a lame Halo helmet that came in the SE of Halo 3. Pricing is yet to be announced.

Looks like the Wii is getting a color change with the upcoming release of the “Kuro” version Wii.  Taking on a dark, sleek look, the color is a departure from the usual cute Mario fanfare that is often associated with Nintendo. The black version will release first in Japan on August 1st, 2009.

When Blackberry first announced their first ever touchscreen phone as the “Blackberry Storm”  it had the internets abuzz. It then turned to controversy when countless people who tested and purchased them found that the touchscreen was more like a click screen that had none of the intuitive features that it should (ie the iPhone touchscreen). In a hands on demo of the upcoming Storm 2 Engadget confirms the rumors that they click screen is no more.

First off, let’s confirm the huge news: RIM’s abandoned the original Storm’s SurePress click-screen and gone with a traditional fixed capacitive display for the sequel. It’s over, guys.
