After ordering this book early this year It totally fell off my radar in terms of it ever being released. With the release date of Oct. 27 still a go Kanye has shared some photos of his new 288 page book. Published by Rizzoli publishers with photography by Nabil Elderkin the new book should offer a fascinating insight into the production of his long running “Glow In The Dark” tour from 2008. The book provides a look at on stage performances, behind-the-scenes shots, conceptual sketches by West, costume designs, and stage models. It also includes an audio CD featuring previously unreleased live instrumentals for “Hey Mama”, “Touch the Sky”, “Jesus Walks”, and “I Wonder”, as well as an interview with video and film director Spike Jonze.
Judging by the rest of the photos this is going to be well worth the $30 price tag to relive one of the best tours many of us have attended. Keep reading for more. (more…)
Mick Boogie and Terry Urban present you, Wild Young Heartbreaks. It combines UK rockers The Noisettes with samples from Kanye West’s 808’s & Heartbreaks. The mixtape has production from 6th Sense, Apple Juice Kid, and more. Download, cover, and tracklist below. (more…)
Consequence gives us the music video to his single off his album ConsTV. It features the Grammy Family aka Kanye West and John Legend.
After putting out BP3-Qual, DJ Noodles got right back to it to give us another great blend/mashup mixtape, this time with Drake. He mixes Drizzy’s vocals with the likes of Kanye West, Lil Wayne, John Legend, Jay-Z, and more. Download, cover, and tracklist after the jump. (more…)
The “Down” hitmaker and Cash Money signee, Jay Sean puts together a beatbox of Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks” layer by layer. It’s amazing how well this is done.
We finally get to see the music video for one of the biggest collaborations ever on a song. It’s directed by Hype Williams and features King James himself.
Last night, Jay-Z, Kanye, and Rihanna hit up the premiere of Jay Leno’s new show to perform the hit single Run This Town.
After the madness that happened last night when Kanye West went on stage and stole Taylor Swift’s microphone, someone decided to put this masterpiece together.
After KanYe absolutely crushed Taylor Swift live in front of millions of people, Beyonce won the award for Best Video (which kind of validates Yeezy’s point… I”m just sayin’). Instead of any acceptance speech, Bey brings out Taylor Swift so she can have her moment on MTV because she remembered what it was like for her to be up there at 17 with Destiny’s Child. A truly amazing and classy moment from one of the best in the business.
